Antenatal Clinic
Regular checks by a doctor and community midwife throughout pregnancy. Newly pregnant mothers should complete the midwife form below:

Chronic Conditions
Patients with long term conditions will be invited for their annual review within the month of their birthday.

A Long term condition includes illnesses such as:

  • Respiratory disease,
  • Heart disease,
  • Stroke,
  • Diabetes,
  • Kidney disease,
  • High blood pressure,
  • Rheumatoid arthritis,
  • Epilepsy,
  • Mental health problems,
  • Other long term health issues that affect the health or lifestyle of a patient.

These conditions require an annual review to ensure that the condition is being managed appropriately. Patients are invited for regular checks to optimise their management and prevent complications.

NHS Health Check
The NHS Health Check is available free to all adults between the ages of 40-74 years. This MOT is your chance to check your risk of heart disease and diabetes and take effective preventative action.
Flu Clinic
It is recommended that anyone with a chronic illness has an annual anti-flu immunisation.  Please book an appointment for the seasonal flu clinic in October.
Minor Surgery, Wart and Verruca Treatment
Doctors remove small lumps and perform other procedures, if clinically indicated, under local anaesthetic in our well-equipped treatment rooms led by Dr Hamley. There are regular clinics for the treatment of warts and verrucas with Dr Potter. Dr Potter and Dr McConnell also offer regular joint injection clinics.
Physiotherapy
The practice provides extensive in-house physiotherapy dealing with back/neck/joint problems, soft tissue injuries and muscular aches and pains. You can also book directly with one of our first contact physiotherapists for advice regarding musculoskeletal problems.
Practice Nurses
You can make appointments with our practice nurses for dressings, stitch removal, contraceptive pill check, cervical smears, vaccinations and other preventative health care, including long term condition reviews, without seeing a doctor.
Cervical Smears
All women between 25 – 64 should have regular cervical smears. Between 25-49 smears should be taken every 3 years and every five years thereafter up to the age of 64, unless there is a clinical need for it to be done sooner. Please make an appointment with the Practice Nurses who will be able to see to this for you.

All women currently in the screening program will continue to be invited.
